Then the fun can begin. We will show you how to prepare the embers and with which methods you can reach the desired temperature. When you are ready, you can begin cooking your first meal with the Dutch oven. For your first dish we picked an easy to prepare meal that is also low in acid so that it protects the virginal patina (the natural protective layer of the Dutch oven). That way you can concentrate on the Dutch oven and have a guaranteed successful start. After your first cooking success, the next step is cleaning.
